Mr. Nyman with studentsWelcome to Grant Elementary School! Grant has a long standing tradition of excellence dating back to 1910. The building remains an integral part of the Wausau School District. A major addition and renovation of the school building and grounds occurred in 2000. Continued improvements to the physical plant allow us to continue our strong tradition of providing a variety of programs designed to benefit all students.

Diversity is appreciated and individual learning needs are consistently met. The Grant School student population includes students with limited English Proficiency, special education needs, and those with exceptional abilities. Our dedicated classroom teachers and paraprofessionals collaborate effectively with special educators, subject area specialists and parents to provide a rigorous curriculum that is consistently differentiated to meet the unique and individual needs of all of our students.

The AGR program reduces class sizes in Kindergarten through second grade to an average of 15 students. Our Title I program provides school-wide instructional support in reading to students in kindergarten through fifth grade. We invite you to contact us with any questions that you may have about our instructional programming.

Yours In Education,

Mr. Chris Nyman
